Comments about Nautilus R514 Recumbent Bike:
The recumbent bike gives me a perfect workout without any back strain (I have a bad back). I use it for 30 minutes every other day but I will soon be increasing the duration and frequency of use. I very much like how comfortable it is and the readouts are clear and helpful. So far, after two months, I have nothing but positive comments.

Comments about Nautilus R514 Recumbent Bike:
the first day I got this bike the magnets slammed onto the flywheel and had to order parts to replace the motor. Once repaired, I used it for two weeks and the same thing happened again. This time they had different directions to repair the bike. Hopefully this bike will not break again.
But on a positive note, I like how easy it is to get a low impact work out for someone who is over weight and out of shape. I can feel everything tightening and firming up...look forward to having better posture and conditioning.

Comments about Nautilus R514 Recumbent Bike:
placed bike in my dental office. If I have a break between patients I get on the the bike. It beats the computer. Being so handy I find myself using it several times a day. I have a program the allows me to get my heart rate up quickly and get benefits in a short period of time. Great machine, quiet and comfortable. It is a great stress reliever.

Comments about Nautilus R514 Recumbent Bike:
It's a bit of a pain to have to put it together, but any piece of fitness equipment is like that. (I own other exercise equipment.) Other than that, it's a great bike. It's easy to get started, and it's quiet.

Q:
How does the R514 differ from the Schwinn 240? Both can be purchased for $450 - on sale. Which is better?Asked on 3/5/2011 by Anonymous from Williamsburg, VA1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
Both the R514 and 240 are great units. The Schwinn 240 console is full of useful programs. The Nautilus R514 builds on these useful programs and adds additional heart rate programming. Also the R514 is supplied with a Polar wireless heart rate transmitter that can be used to monitor your body while working out. Additional features on the R514 are adjustable lumbar support and a heavier flywheel.Answered on 3/8/2011 by Rick from NLS_WHQ
