Comments about Schwinn 431 Elliptical:
Good for the overall price. I once owned one roughly 75% cheaper and it broke easily. The big gym-style ones are many times more expensive so this is a good compromise.
Not difficult to assemble but some of the parts were so hard to find i almost threw them away. Inspect the styrofoam packing MANY times before disposing as some parts can seem "hidden". The upper handle assembly is difficult to access for maintenance due to a plastic 2-piece cuff that I essentially had to crack to gain access to some screws, which needed re-tightening. Also one of the upper tips to the arm handles broke off (cosmetic really) after very first light use. These are pretty minor though considering that the instructions were very clear for assembly and the operation and sturdiness of the machine is as good as the ones at a commercial gym.
If you are a die-hard and can afford it, you might go for something more elaborate, but it will cost you a good bit more.
All things considered though, a good low-impact exercise machine that is not difficult to use or store.
