I am 6'3" and use this bike nearly everyday, either in conjunction with a dumbbell weight upper body workout or as a cardio workout after an alternate weight lifting session. I love that it runs on DC vs. batteries like my last system. While I have some issue with the comfort of the seat after 30+ minutes riding, overall it is a smooth, comfortable exercise bike, stable and versatile in it's workout options. A couple of comments on the heart monitor; don't put your cell/smartphone on top of the unit (cup holder, etc) as that has shown to keep the heart monitor from working. Also, as the program monitors average heart rate, you basically have to hold the handles the entire time to get a true average. I haven't used the specific fitness test exercise program yet, but I have a couple of custom programs which really provides added flexibility over the already ample selection. Overall, a GREAT bike, especially for the price!

While the product itself is okay, the instructions to build it are pitiful. They say a picture tells a thousand words, except if you are trying to build this piece of equipment. They need WAY more words to join their pictures to explain the steps. The quality of the pictures showing some of the connections of the electronics could surely be better. While I finally did get it together, I was frustrated. Oh, yeah, they left out a part in their sealed parts packet. Let's say the bike and I did not get off to a good start. I have used it and once you figure out how to make it tell you what you want to do, it works ok. There is no explanation of how to program your workouts, so it is through experimenting that you figure it out.

Comments about Schwinn 150 Upright Bike:

I bought this exercise bike because I gained almost 20 lbs from taking a desk job position. Nothing else about me changed, besides I wasn't on my feet all day. I didn't have the time to go to the gym after a long day of raising my 4 yr old son, a full-time job, and online college courses. Not to mention, who would watch him when I was gone? (I'm a military wife and my husband is overseas and I don't have family close by.) I decided exercise equipment at home would be ideal.
When I purchased the bike it was affordable, and the place I purchased from online said 3-5 days for shipping. I figured it would be here in 5 days. No, the delivery was in 3 days. I live in an apartment and they even brought it up to the second floor without me asking!
I put the bike together, and was worried after reading reviews that it may be a little difficult. Honestly, it was easy for the most part. The instructions were easy to follow. I'm not by any means a handy person. The most difficult part in setting the equipment up was the bar that holds up the electrical screen. The bolts at the base (there are four) were very difficult to try to get in. I think this is because it's in such a cramped space and the bolts are almost angled in. I got two bolts in, and it worked fine with the two. My dad came over about three weeks after I purchased the bike to put the other bolts in. He's a master mechanic and it was very easy for him, so I blame my lack of experience.
Operationally speaking, this bike is a steal. I love that it's easy to use and quiet. Afterall, I live in an apartment and my bike is in my room. My room is located next to my son and sometimes he can be a light sleeper. But, he hasn't been woken up by the noise and my neighbors don't complain when I get on it at 5:30 in the morning. I love the resistance that this bike offers. I "feel the burn" after only several minutes. I try to work out 5 times a week, 30 minutes a day. I've had this bike almost a month now and I've lost about 10 lbs. I haven't changed my diet at all.
If you're looking for an exercise bike, this is one that you'd want to take in to consideration. I love this bike, and hope that my review is helpful to others like me! This is an opportunity for you to better yourself, why not take the chance?

Comments about Schwinn 150 Upright Bike:

The Bike arrived damaged. Parts were sent to repair it. The company sent someone to do the repair for me. More complicated then I was led to believe. Service rep was great but it did take a long time between delivery and use. Packing of bike was pretty bad. Better packing may have precluded the damage.

Comments about Schwinn 150 Upright Bike:

I bought this trainer as a compliment to my other bike trainer because I wanted to add heart rate winter training and wanted something more quiet than my noisy bicycle trainer.

The best things are the features it gives, hr, calories, timer, workouts, watts, etc,.. and the fact that it's VERY quiet. It's very stable for something so small and is surprisingly well made. Also works great with my hr monitor chest strap!

The things that I'll be trying to improve about it are putting my road bike seat on it for more comfort and finding a way to make the geometry feel a bit closer to a real racing bicycle. It's a very cramped/upright riding position and there aren't many options to spread out on it like a real road bike. The console could be made of a bit thicker plastic.

I will also by putting on a set of road bike pedals so I can use my cycling shoes.
