Q:
This seems to be a great machine. Howver, the price is extreme. Why, for this price, is there not free shipping, and why are the mat and lube stick not included?

I would be interested in knowing how much the machine weighs, as well. How do truly overweight (my brother is over 300 lbs) lose weight - this machine is only rated for 300 lbs.

  That weight limit is correct. We do not recommend using our machines if you are over that weight limit as it will affect the warranty.   Hi! It is not necessary to have a PIN. Because it uses Bluetooth Low Energy, the Max Trainer™ machine does not “pair” like a traditional Bluetooth device, and does not require a PIN. You'll want to do the following:
  1. Make sure your Max Trainer™ M5 is turned on and showing the “Welcome” screen.
  2. Launch the app and touch the gray Bluetooth symbol near the top of the screen.
  3. The app will prompt you to scan for, and connect to, your Max Trainer™ M5.
  Your device is now connected to your Max Trainer™ M5.

  Hi Laura. The Bowflex MAX Trainer M5 is a fairly quiet machine in and of itself, and noise from its use should not travel beyond your own unit but the mat would provide an additional layer of buffering as well as protect your hardwood floors.

  Hi Lorna! To our knowledge, you shouldn't encounter any discoloration issues, nor any problems with moisture getting trapped underneath the mat. If you have concerns about this, I recommend putting something underneath the mat, such as a carpet remnant, and then put the mat on top of it, to provide separation between the mat and the flooring.

  I have the mat too, and it is thin. It is nowhere near the 1/2" thick claimed, maybe it's 1/8th" at best. However, it's still quite a nice mat, but just not thick and cushy. It's the perfect size for the Max Trainer. I think someone from Customer Care needs to get out a ruler, then correct her postings.
