Since I have severe arthritis, it's easy on my knees. I am trying very hard to strengthen my legs by using it every night, but sometimes pain keeps me from doing this.

Comments about Nautilus R514 Recumbent Bike:
It's a bit of a pain to have to put it together, but any piece of fitness equipment is like that. (I own other exercise equipment.) Other than that, it's a great bike. It's easy to get started, and it's quiet.

Q:
How does the R514 differ from the Schwinn 240? Both can be purchased for $450 - on sale. Which is better?Asked on 3/5/2011 by Anonymous from Williamsburg, VA1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
Both the R514 and 240 are great units. The Schwinn 240 console is full of useful programs. The Nautilus R514 builds on these useful programs and adds additional heart rate programming. Also the R514 is supplied with a Polar wireless heart rate transmitter that can be used to monitor your body while working out. Additional features on the R514 are adjustable lumbar support and a heavier flywheel.Answered on 3/8/2011 by Rick from NLS_WHQ
