Quiet smooth operation that gives enough resistance to get a good work out. I do 40 min twice a week at 50 - 55 rpm. I walk twice at that time also.

When the resistance feature in my electronic bike broke, leaving me literally spinning my wheels, I saw a demo of the Schwinn Airdyne AD2 and decided to give it a try. All I can say is WOW! Great workout, great resistance, and totally powered by ME, not a power cord. My only 'con' would be the seat... could be more comfortable. This shouldn't stop anyone from buying this, however, as you can always use a seat cushion and you'll be good to go.

I love that the AD2 is just the right size to fit in a corner. It's quiet and smooth! I like the air that keeps you somewhat cool while you work out. It's a nice looking machine that gives me a great workout while sitting. For a large and/or short person it is a little bit of a workout just to get on the seat, but once there it works upper and lower body really well.

Love my bike. The only problem was how long it took to get it and find any information on why it was taking so long. It was already on my credit card before I received it.

It is easy to use. I don't have to put on special clothes. And even at my advanced age of almost 69, it gives me a great workout!

I've always been enamored of the Schwinn Airdyne but couldn't justify the cost (the AD4 I now know). I also heard that it takes a "rocket scientist" to put it together and I surely didn't want to spend more for someone to assemble it. So this AD2 is just right for me. It's placed on the upstairs landing and it has a fairly small footprint. I got it uncrated, put together with the supplied tools and had a brief workout all in about 1 hr. Getting all the parts out of the large shipping box took at least 1/3 - 1/2 of the time. There are only a few parts to attach to the main bike. Except for the fan wheel and its cowling which are plastic and show a few minor cracks already, the metal parts are really solid. The whole unit is far better than I was expecting. I would not classify the digital console as a toy as someone commented. The numerical digital readout is large, dark and easy to read. It scrolls through the usual parameters (time, distance, calories burned, RPM's)during the workout. So, this Airdyne AD2 is exactly as advertised. The female model must be over 6 ft tall judging from the height of the machine arms/handles adjacent to her body. I can set the seat height for a perfect leg and arm/shoulder motion and I'm 69-70". I am in decent shape overall but I was breathing hard and my heart rate was about 125-130 after 5 mins at 60 RPM's. Thanks Schwinn/Nautilus. Great product!

My wife has been asking for a bike for a while, so I shock her giving her a bike for christmas. It is well built easy to put together, and adjust fast. If your looking for a workout & can leave your house to hit the gym, get this bike it will hold you over until you get back there and then some.
