I am 60 years old, and My doctor said loss weight or else. I work out 7 days a week, not hard but steady. Because of weather I decided on indoor bike. I dont like walking in hot humid weather or rain.
If you are used to assembling things, the pictures are fine to put bike together. If you are not used to putting mechanical things together , the instructions are lacking but not impossible and there isnt that much to put together. Down load the Schwinn manual from the Schwinn site. Dont know why they are different but they are.
As for use, Its a bicycle seat. Not more or less comfort. The rest of it is fine. For my need to exercise, I find the bike and the work outs excellent. Easy on the knees, ( I have one bad knee) cant explain why but legs feel better since using the bike. It gives a nice work out for people like me who are doing it for weight loss and blood sugar control.
Since I am not an athelet I will not speak too, if its good for serious training, but if you are like me, its a good bike for the money. If you need to compare work out types : I had been walking 4 miles 7 days a week for just over an hour, every other day I would also do a half hour with free weights, working on indurance. I have had the bike for almost a half a month ,working up slowly, now at 35 minutes and 10 miles. Hope this helps.

While the product itself is okay, the instructions to build it are pitiful. They say a picture tells a thousand words, except if you are trying to build this piece of equipment. They need WAY more words to join their pictures to explain the steps. The quality of the pictures showing some of the connections of the electronics could surely be better. While I finally did get it together, I was frustrated. Oh, yeah, they left out a part in their sealed parts packet. Let's say the bike and I did not get off to a good start. I have used it and once you figure out how to make it tell you what you want to do, it works ok. There is no explanation of how to program your workouts, so it is through experimenting that you figure it out.

Comments about Schwinn 150 Upright Bike:

I use this bike 4-5 times a week for atleast an hour every day. it is a smooth ride and easy on the knees. being a physical therapist i am very happy with its results. the seat is very comfortable and the fact that the distance and height both can be adjusted is just perfect for a short person as myself (5'2"). The only drawback i think this bike has is because of being light weight it doesnt feel very stable especially on carpeted surfaces. Other than that it is a good investment. I have had this for 2 months now and i am happy with my purchase.

at 6'4" tall and a starting weight of 290 lbs. I have found the Schwinn stationary bike easy to use, great for a hard workout as well as a tune up ride. I love that I can cycle indoors during our cold winters in preparation for our great spring trail rides.

Comments about Schwinn 150 Upright Bike:

I bought this exercise bike because I gained almost 20 lbs from taking a desk job position. Nothing else about me changed, besides I wasn't on my feet all day. I didn't have the time to go to the gym after a long day of raising my 4 yr old son, a full-time job, and online college courses. Not to mention, who would watch him when I was gone? (I'm a military wife and my husband is overseas and I don't have family close by.) I decided exercise equipment at home would be ideal.
When I purchased the bike it was affordable, and the place I purchased from online said 3-5 days for shipping. I figured it would be here in 5 days. No, the delivery was in 3 days. I live in an apartment and they even brought it up to the second floor without me asking!
I put the bike together, and was worried after reading reviews that it may be a little difficult. Honestly, it was easy for the most part. The instructions were easy to follow. I'm not by any means a handy person. The most difficult part in setting the equipment up was the bar that holds up the electrical screen. The bolts at the base (there are four) were very difficult to try to get in. I think this is because it's in such a cramped space and the bolts are almost angled in. I got two bolts in, and it worked fine with the two. My dad came over about three weeks after I purchased the bike to put the other bolts in. He's a master mechanic and it was very easy for him, so I blame my lack of experience.
Operationally speaking, this bike is a steal. I love that it's easy to use and quiet. Afterall, I live in an apartment and my bike is in my room. My room is located next to my son and sometimes he can be a light sleeper. But, he hasn't been woken up by the noise and my neighbors don't complain when I get on it at 5:30 in the morning. I love the resistance that this bike offers. I "feel the burn" after only several minutes. I try to work out 5 times a week, 30 minutes a day. I've had this bike almost a month now and I've lost about 10 lbs. I haven't changed my diet at all.
If you're looking for an exercise bike, this is one that you'd want to take in to consideration. I love this bike, and hope that my review is helpful to others like me! This is an opportunity for you to better yourself, why not take the chance?

The Bike arrived damaged. Parts were sent to repair it. The company sent someone to do the repair for me. More complicated then I was led to believe. Service rep was great but it did take a long time between delivery and use. Packing of bike was pretty bad. Better packing may have precluded the damage.

The Schwinn® 50 Series console lets you store and use 2 User profiles.

From the Power-Up Mode screen, push the Schwinn Advantage™ button and hold for 3 seconds
to go to User Setup Mode.
Note: If no User Profile is set up, the Console will show the Name prompt for User 1. If a User Profile does exist, use the Increase/ Decrease buttons to select User 2 and push START/ENTER.

Follow the prompt to create the second profile.
