Comments about Schwinn 130 Upright Bike:

Got this to help keep me riding during the winter months as it gets cold. So far my first impression is it is well made and has nice feel to it. Hope to get a lot of mileage out of it. Have bad arthritis (Ankylosing Spondylitis) and need to keep my joints and lungs stretched and active to keep my pain levels down. And I just plain like riding a bike, I have a mountain bike I ride.

My only complaint would be the location of the console. I think I would have designed it to set at a lower height as to where you could watch TV in front of you while working out instead of from the side.

Comments about Schwinn 130 Upright Bike:

This is a very nice home use bike. It was very easy to put together and is very sturdy. Came with the power supply. Very easy assembly took about 45 minutes to set up.
Control panel is hard to read in low light.
I like that you can use connect and link it to your My fitness Pal account to track your work outs.

            Best Uses

Comments about Schwinn 130 Upright Bike:

The bike has good mechanicals and is sturdy. The bike was fairly straight forward to assemble(all tools were included). I would reccomend greasing/oiling all adjustement screws. After daily use for one week, I am still trying find a ideal seat setting. The bike is fairly straight forward to readjust between two users. The console is easy to read. The fans are a nice feature.
It is taking awhile to figure out the console. The instructions for the 2013 model console needed to be downloaded from the Schwinn website. The consol instructions could benefit by adding a flow chart page. In my opinion, the consol progamming is not intuitive.

The only issue I have with the design is that the heart rate pick ups are on the middle of the handle bar. I was able to add extenders for when I go to a tucked position.

                  Hello,
We recently purchased the Schwinn 130. The power cord is too short & does not reach our outlet from where we want to place the bike. Can we use an extension cord with this product?

Hi Tracey! While it is best to plug the machine directly into the wall outlet, should the need arise you will be fine to use a heavy gauge (15 +) extension cord with this machine.

Hi, just bought my Journey 1.0 yesterday and i may missed that part in the manual but i can't get my heart rate read by the sensor. I tested several ways to get any result, pressing my hand palms firmly against both sensors and waited one minute, or just using my finger tips. Also using the designated cardio program. In all events i don't get any reading. Both cables leading from the sensors to the connector seem ok aswell the connector, which clips nicely into the slot. Do i have to set something up in the software/programs? Or is it simply broken?
